What each one means
1
How scary was it?
MILD→WILD
Measures the fear factor: jump scares, tension, suspense, unpredictability, dread, and adrenaline.
2
How involved were we in the experience?
LAZY→CRAZY
Measures how actively the haunt engages guests through targeting, close encounters, separation, touching where permitted, and direct actor interaction.
3
How real did it feel?
CHILL→THRILL
Measures how completely the haunt creates its world through sets, costumes, characters, lighting, sound, special effects, atmosphere, and detail. Was there a clear storyline, and how much were we a part of it?
4
What do other guests think?
BOO→WOO
Uses public customer ratings to add a broader view of guest satisfaction beyond our own experience.
5
How much confidence can we put in that rating?
FEW→CREW
Measures the strength of the public rating based mainly on the number of reviews behind it. More reviews mean more confidence.
Overall Scare Scale
The final percentage and letter grade combine all five categories into one clear score.
